Sir Syed Hospital is located at main Korangi Road about 4km from the city center i.e. Saddar and easily approachable by public and private transport.
There are ample car parking facilities in and around the hospital. The hospital is well equipped and has the capability of providing the full spectrum of medical and surgical care. This hospital is located in economically depressed area of Qayyumabad where there in no other hospital for the population of one million people. At the moment, the daily turn over of the OPD patients is very high which will help in the clinical training to the students. This hospital has a potential to admit 400 indoor patents.
There are highly qualified, full time Professors on the faculty of the college for providing medical education to the students in the field of Medicine, Surgery, Gynae/Obs, Paediatrics, Cardiology ENT/EYE and other required departments.
We will commission our second teaching hospital with 250 beds adjacent to Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences (Basic Sciences and Administration building at Clifton) in near future which is under construction. It will have a covered area of 90,000 sq/ft. when completed. This hospital is named after the name of the founder of the college as Moin Hospital.
Emergency Department
Excellent arrangements exist for handling acute medical/surgical emergencies. Emergency Department is functional round the clock with capability of handling coma patients, haematemesis cases, shock states, cardiac emergencies, Hypo and hyperthermic states, acute respiratory problems, neurological conditions, diabetic emergencies, hypertensive crisis and all surgical emergencies. Highly trained senior medical officers with vast experience of emergency care are available round the clock, with on call service of experienced specialist consultants.
Department of Medicine
It caters to the treatment of all communicable and non Communicable diseases. Special equipment and expertise is available for treatment of kidney diseases. Patients referred by Alamgir Welfare Trust and Saylani Welfare Trust are treated at the lowest possible rates in the city.
Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology
The department can take care of all Obstetrics and Gynaecological cases. The Obstetrics section remains one of the busiest departments of the hospital.
Cardiology Services
Acute cardiac emergency cover with cardio-respiratory resuscitation and Gardie rehabilitation facilities are ready available.
Anaesthesiology
Provision for general and local anesthesia to all patients of different surgical disciplines including cardiac surgery and neurosurgery are available.

The Department, provide full range of Ophthaimic services including the modern procedures such as introcular lens insertion. All types of minor and major ENT procedures including surgery of nose is routinely by performed.
Radiology Department
The radiology department of Sir Syed Hospital is equipped with latest equipment for proper evaluation and diagnosis. of various illnesses.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy by exercises, heat, cold, massage and Electrotherapy is offered for the various conditions like neurological conditions, muscle & joint pains, chest diseases etc.
The Laboratory
Sir Syed Laboratory is an advanced clinical laboratory which is equipped with sophisticated automated machinery.
Paediatric Department
General
Paediatrics department of Sir Syed Hospital, Qayyumabad campus is a 30 bedded unit including ten beds for neonates. It has facility for managing all types of paediatric diseases including emergencies. In the out patient department average 600 to 700 cases are seen per month and the admission rate is 100 to 150 patients per month.
Vaccination Facility
The unit has the facility for vaccinating children against major killer diseases in children i.e, Tuberculosis, Polio, Diphtheria, Pertusis, Tetanus, Measles and Hepatitis B.
Clinical Training
Final year students are imparted clinical training and hands-on experience.
